Commercial Account Manager

Location: Either Berkshire, Middlesex or Buckingham

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Hours: Full Time – Monday To Friday

The Role:

This is a great opportunity to join a high performing team as a Commercial Account Manager by developing positive and long-term relationships with their customers in a way which promotes retention and additional sales revenue. To be successful at this role you will be excellent at building customer relationships and delivering high-quality service that reflects our values and ethos and is tailored to their specific needs.

Responsibilities:

  • To develop positive business relationships with their commercial portfolio of customers, managing their accounts in a way that meets their specific needs on a long-term basis.
  • To enhance the wider business growth by proactively seeking opportunities for cross selling.
  • To consistently provide excellent levels of customer service in all interactions with potential and existing customers, delivering on promises, meeting their needs and exceeding expectations.
  • To build and maintain effective working relationships within the team and all relevant key contacts.
  • To ensure all customer interactions, managing of customer instructions and documentation is administered in accordance with compliance and regulatory requirements and ensures excellent levels of customer service.
  • To be responsible for ongoing technical and professional knowledge and skills development to ensure compliance and the delivery of high performance.

About you:

  • You’re an experienced Account Manager with commercial insurance account management experience of a minimum of 5 years, with a solid understanding of commercial insurance products.
  • You know how to assess risk, negotiate effectively and deliver results that balance client needs with business goals.
  • You’re confident working independently, but you also thrive in a team. You bring energy, attention to detail and a natural ability to prioritise.
  • You are someone who values doing things properly. You understand the importance of compliance and governance, and you take pride in delivering work that’s accurate and well considered. Above all, you’re motivated by helping clients find the right solutions—and you’re ready to bring that commitment to a team that shares your values.
  • Proven track record of successful delivery of insurance solutions within a commercial insurance environment. Farming industry experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a customer facing environment, delivering exceptional levels of customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
