Job title: Account Manager
Salary: £50,000
Location: Essex
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our client's growing team in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercial insurance professional to take ownership of a portfolio of clients, develop strong relationships and provide a high level of service.
The successful candidate will work closely with clients, insurers and internal teams, playing an important role in retaining and developing the existing book of business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and develop an established portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and insurers.
- Manage the full renewal process, ensuring suitable terms are obtained and presented to clients.
- Process new business, mid-term adjustments and policy documentation.
- Resolve client and insurer queries efficiently and professionally.
- Identify opportunities to develop existing accounts and introduce additional products where appropriate.
- Ensure all client activity is managed in accordance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure all documentation is completed to a high standard.
- Support the delivery of agreed service levels and positive client outcomes.

DAY-TO-DAY
- Working within a collaborative commercial insurance team.
- Taking ownership of client relationships and acting as a key point of contact.
- Balancing a varied workload while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Working closely with colleagues and insurers to deliver effective solutions.
- Maintaining a proactive approach to client service and account development.
- Working within a regulated environment and ensuring consistently high standards.
- Using Acturis as part of the day-to-day account management process.
- Contributing to a positive team environment and sharing knowledge and experience with colleagues.
EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience within commercial insurance is essential.
- Proven experience managing a portfolio of commercial clients.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and processes.
- Property insurance experience would be advantageous.
- Experience working within a regulated insurance environment.
- Proven ability to meet targets and agreed SLAs.
- Previous experience using Acturis.
- Cert CII or Dip CII would be desirable.
