Job title: Commercial Account Manager

Salary: £45,000 (dependent on experience)

Location: Buckinghamshire

PURPOSE OF ROLE

Our client, a leading and well-established insurance provider, is looking for a Commercial Account Manager to join a high-performing team. The purpose of the role is to build strong, lasting relationships with a portfolio of commercial and rural clients, driving retention and identifying opportunities for additional revenue, all while delivering a service tailored to each customer's individual needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial clients, developing long-term relationships that support their specific requirements.
  • Contribute to wider business growth by proactively identifying cross-selling opportunities.
  • Deliver consistently high standards of service to both new and existing customers, following through on commitments and exceeding expectations.
  • Build strong working relationships across the team and with key contacts.
  • Ensure all client interactions, instructions, and documentation are handled in line with compliance and regulatory requirements.

DAY-TO-DAY

  • Acting as the main point of contact for a varied portfolio of commercial clients, handling queries and account matters.
  • Reviewing client needs and spotting opportunities to broaden their cover.
  • Processing customer instructions and maintaining accurate, compliant documentation.
  • Liaising with colleagues and key stakeholders to ensure a seamless client experience.
  • Keeping technical and professional knowledge up to date through ongoing development.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven track record within a commercial insurance environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in a customer-facing role, delivering exceptional service.
  • Good working knowledge of the commercial insurance sector; exposure to rural or agricultural risks would be an advantage.

SKILLS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Relationship-building and account management ability.
  • Organised, compliant, and detail-focused.
