Aurizon is seeking a commercially minded Commercial Account Manager to manage a portfolio of two strategic customers valued at approximately $80 million annually.
Based in Perth CBD, this role is focused on building trusted customer relationships, maximising contract performance, and identifying opportunities for growth across an established customer base.
Working closely with internal operational and commercial teams, you'll act as the key interface between Aurizon and our customers, ensuring business objectives are aligned and long-term value is delivered.
About the Role
Reporting to the Commercial Portfolio Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of two major customer accounts, developing a deep understanding of their business and partnering with them to achieve successful commercial outcomes.
This is a strategic relationship management role where success is built on understanding customer needs, influencing stakeholders, identifying opportunities, and maintaining strong commercial partnerships.
In this role you will:
- Manage and grow relationships with two strategic customer accounts
- Drive contract performance to ensure commercial objectives are achieved
- Identify and develop opportunities for revenue growth and service expansion
- Lead customer negotiations and support long-term contract renewals
- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting and commercial insights
- Act as the key link between customers and internal operational teams
- Monitor market trends and customer requirements to support business planning
- Work collaboratively across the organisation to deliver outstanding customer outcomes

About You
You are a relationship-focused commercial professional who thrives in a large, complex environment and has a proven ability to influence stakeholders, manage key accounts and uncover growth opportunities.
You may come from transport, logistics, including bulk logistics, mining services, industrial services, energy, telecommunications, financial services, infrastructure, or another large corporate environment. Exposure to bulk logistics operations will be viewed favourably.
You'll bring:
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts or commercial relationships
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability
- Commercial and financial acumen with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions
- Experience working within a large corporate, ASX-listed, or similarly complex organisation
- Demonstrated success identifying and delivering commercial growth opportunities
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
- A proactive and customer-focused approach
