Commercial Finance Accountant
Location: London Bridge
Salary: £82,000 - £95,000
Hyde is looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Accountant to provide specialist financial advice, control, and assurance across our commercial partnerships, third-party management contracts, and joint venture arrangements.
This is a key role within our Financial Management team, supporting accurate reporting, strong governance, and effective commercial decision-making. You will review partnership income, costs, balance sheet entries, accounting treatment, and financial risks, ensuring complex arrangements are well understood, properly controlled, delivering expected financial returns, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
You will work closely with colleagues across Finance, Commercial, Legal, Procurement, and operational teams, providing expert advice, constructive challenge, and practical recommendations. The role will suit a qualified accountant who enjoys working with complex financial information, interpreting commercial arrangements, and using insight to improve financial control and performance.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing technical accounting advice for commercial partnerships, third-party management contracts, and joint venture arrangements.
- Reviewing income, costs, accruals, provisions, recharges, reconciliations, and balance sheet entries to ensure they are accurate and well evidenced.
- Producing clear reporting, commentary, and insight on partnership performance, financial returns, revenue opportunities, risks, trends, and areas requiring action.
- Maintaining strong financial controls, supporting audit activity, and ensuring processes align with Hyde’s governance requirements.
- Advising and influencing senior stakeholders, constructively challenging assumptions, and supporting continuous improvement across reporting and controls.

What you’ll need
- A recognized accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
- Strong experience in financial control, commercial finance, management accounting, or partnership accounting within a complex organization.
- Good technical knowledge of accounting treatment, balance sheet control, reconciliations, audit requirements, and financial governance.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to review complex information, test assumptions, and make evidence-based recommendations.
- Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise, influence, and challenge colleagues in a professional and constructive way.
