They are now looking for a talented individual to join the finance team as a part-time Commercial Accountant initially on a fixed-term 13-month basis. The role will be 3 days per week totalling 23.25 hours per week.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in the financial activities within Douglas and Grahame Ltd.

The main focus of the role will be to maintain a commercial outlook and continually monitor and review costs, sales performance, etc to support the profitability of the Douglas and Grahame Ltd group of companies.

The appropriate candidate should have the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar role in a commercial organisation
  • Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • A strong working knowledge of computerised accounting/payroll systems and spreadsheets
  • A strong communicator, capable of presenting financial information to non-finance stakeholders
  • Analytical with excellent financial modelling and data interpretation skills
  • Applicants should also demonstrate leadership qualities, sound commercial understanding, and have the interpersonal skills required to contribute at a management level
