Help keep our Water and Drainage contracts commercially on track.
Enjoy working with data, staying organised and supporting a busy team? Join our Water and Drainage Management division as a Commercial Administrator on a fixed-term contract (FTC), providing day-to-day commercial administration support to our Quantity Surveyors and Contracts team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is organised, methodical and comfortable working with numbers and documents. You’ll play an important role in supporting the commercial and operational teams, helping to keep information accurate, processes on track and commercial records up to date.
With exposure to areas including payment applications, cost reporting, invoicing, procurement and commercial administration, this role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to develop your commercial knowledge and skills.
As one of our Commercial Administrators, you will be:
- Providing day-to-day commercial administration support to the commercial and operational teams
- Assisting Quantity Surveyors with payment applications, including collating timesheets, rates, measure sheets, expenses and fixed-price items
- Reviewing spreadsheet information, checking for errors and analysing cost data
- Assisting with the preparation of cost/value reports for the Quantity Surveyors
- Supporting the commercial teams with the reduction of WIP
- Assisting the Accounts team with invoice payments
- Supporting management with month-end figures, reports and presentations
- Assisting with the management of Purchase Orders and Task Orders issued by clients
- Collating, distributing and monitoring commercial information across the teams
- Maintaining and updating commercial trackers and filing systems
- Validating and receipting Purchase Orders for labour, plant and materials

You'll ideally have:
- Organised, methodical and accurate, with the ability to manage data and documents effectively
- Previous experience in a commercial administration role
- Strong prioritisation and organisational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Good commercial awareness
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
- A full UK driving licence
