Altrad are currently looking for a Commercial Administrator (Payroll) to join the team.

The successful candidate will provide commercial and administrative support within our busy regional office in Norwich, with responsibility for payroll administration, time sheet and expenses processing, commercial reporting, invoicing, quotations, and general administrative support across the business.

Key Deliverables

  • Manage the payroll process accurately and efficiently, ensuring all relevant payroll information is processed within agreed timescales.
  • Receive, check, validate, and process employee time sheets and expenses, ensuring information is accurate and compliant with company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll, commercial, and administrative records.
  • Produce commercial reports and data analysis to support the Commercial Manager and wider business.
  • Raise quotations and prepare and issue invoices accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies relating to timesheets, payroll, expenses, invoices, and other commercial information.
  • Provide commercial and administrative support to the Commercial Manager and wider regional team.
  • Maintain effective filing and document control systems, ensuring information is accurate and accessible when required.
  • Provide administrative support to various departments as required and contribute to the smooth running of the regional office.
  • Maintain confidentiality when dealing with employee, payroll, commercial, and other sensitive business information.

  • Previous experience in a commercial administration, payroll administration, finance administration, or general business administration role would be advantageous.
  • Experience processing timesheets, payroll information, expenses, invoices, or similar financial and administrative data would be desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills, with confidence working with figures and commercial data.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional telephone manner.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team in a busy office environment.
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues and finding practical solutions.
  • Flexible attitude to work with a willingness to learn and develop within the commercial and payroll function.
