Commercial Analyst

Location: Hybrid (3 days per week in Tamworth)
Department: Commercial & Product
Reports to: Channel Director / Category Director

We're looking for 2 x commercially minded, analytically driven Commercial Analysts to join our Commercial & Product teams. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping business decisions through data-driven insight, helping to drive revenue growth, optimise profitability and influence strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Working closely with Commercial, Product and Finance teams, you'll act as a trusted partner, transforming complex data into meaningful insights and recommendations that support business growth and improve commercial performance.

About the Role

As a Commercial Analyst, you'll provide analysis and decision support across pricing, revenue, margin, portfolio performance and commercial initiatives. You'll help identify opportunities, understand risks and provide clear recommendations that enable the business to make informed decisions to drive profitable growth.

This role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and the opportunity to influence how the business sells, prices and develops products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate and timely commercial analysis to support revenue growth, profitability and margin optimisation.
  • Analyse business performance across channels, customers, product categories and locations to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and insight to support commercial and product decision-making.
  • Complete scenario analysis and business cases to support investment decisions.
  • Track performance of key initiatives and provide recommendations to improve outcomes.
  • Partner with Product teams to assess product performance, lifecycle management and portfolio optimisation opportunities.
  • Support Category Reviews, range optimisation, product launches and stage-gate processes with robust commercial analysis.
  • Support Channel Partner trading reviews and planning.
  • Evaluate cost drivers, pricing implications and margin impact of product changes.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking an individual who combines strong analytical capability with commercial curiosity and the ability to influence business decisions through insight.

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience in a Commercial Analyst or Business Analyst, ideally within a B2B environment.
  • Strong understanding of revenue, pricing, margin, profitability and commercial performance drivers.
  • Experience working with large datasets, financial models and business reporting.
  • Strong forecasting and scenario modelling capability.
  • Experience supporting commercial, sales or product teams through data-led insight.
  • Advanced Excel skills are essential.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualisation tools would be advantageous.
