About the Role

As a Commercial Analyst - Profit Protection, you'll provide critical analysis, reporting and commercial insights that help identify, quantify and reduce stock loss across the Group. Partnering with Profit Protection, Operations, Commercial and Supply Chain stakeholders, you'll leverage data to uncover trends, improve visibility of loss drivers and support strategic decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Uncover Loss Trends & Commercial Risks - Analyse stocktake, inventory, shrink and loss data to identify performance trends, root causes and opportunities for improvement.
  • Build Insightful Reporting & Dashboards - Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports and visualisations that provide clear, actionable business insights.
  • Turn Data into Action - Deliver meaningful analysis that supports loss reduction initiatives, commercial decision-making and operational performance improvements.
  • Support Investigations Through Analytics - Use data analysis and evidence gathering to support investigations into loss events, fraud and compliance risks.
  • Measure Success & Drive Continuous Improvement - Track performance, benefits realisation and ROI across projects, pilots and technology trials to demonstrate business value.
  • Leverage Data to Improve Visibility - Utilise BW, Snowflake, POS and inventory systems to strengthen reporting, maintain data integrity and provide leaders with trusted insights.

About You

  • Profit Protection & Risk Expertise - Experience in Profit Protection, Loss Prevention, Risk, Audit, Compliance, Investigations or Commercial Analytics.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Capability - Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, solve complex problems and translate data into actionable insights.
  • Power BI & Reporting Excellence - Advanced Power BI capability with experience developing impactful dashboards, reporting and visualisations.
  • Data Analysis Expertise - Proven experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources to uncover opportunities and drive informed decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Influence & Communication - Strong relationship-building and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Commercial Mindset & Continuous Improvement Focus - A commercially minded professional who is passionate about driving business performance, improving processes and delivering measurable outcomes.
