Commercial Analytics Manager
Sheffield | Hybrid Working
£80,000 + Excellent Benefits
Are you someone who sees beyond the numbers? Most analytics jobs focus on reporting… This one is much more about influencing decisions.
We're working with a high-growth technology business that has invested heavily in its data function and is now looking for a Commercial Analytics Manager to help turn insight into action.
This is a highly visible role sitting at the intersection of Data, Finance and Operations, partnering with senior stakeholders to drive smarter decision-making across the business. You'll act as a trusted advisor, helping leaders understand what's happening in the business, why it's happening, and most importantly, what they should do next.
If you're currently producing great analysis and are commercially minded and have created influence over strategic decisions, I'd love to hear from you...
The Opportunity
Over the last few years, the business has transformed its data function, built a modern data platform and significantly expanded its analytics capability. The next stage of that journey is ensuring data is embedded into decision making across the business.
As Commercial Analytics Manager, you'll work closely with Finance, Operations and Transformation teams, helping key stakeholders unlock value from data, identify opportunities for improvement and influence business performance. This is far more than a reporting role. We're looking for someone who can challenge thinking, provide recommendations and shape outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
