Are you a commercially minded procurement professional with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills? We are seeking a Commercial Practitioner to join our Finance Department at Nottinghamshire Police.
🚀 What you'll do:
- Develop and deliver procurement strategies that support organisational priorities and deliver value for money.
- Lead procurement exercises, including tenders, requests for quotations, and framework agreements.
- Provide expert procurement advice and guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Work closely with contract owners to develop and implement effective procurement strategies.
- Produce contracts and associated documentation, ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement regulations, and financial procedures.
- Support commercial projects and initiatives that improve efficiency and deliver sustainable benefits.
- Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve positive procurement outcomes.
- Monitor commercial and market trends to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.

💡 What We’re Looking For:
- Experience delivering procurement activity in a complex organisational environment.
- Sound knowledge of procurement regulations, legislation, and commercial best practice.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing multiple priorities and working to demanding deadlines.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to assess risks, costs, and benefits.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing.
- Understanding of project management principles and procurement technologies.
- MCIPS qualification (or working towards), equivalent procurement qualification, or relevant commercial experience.
