Based at our office in Gillingham, Kent, we are seeking to appoint a:
Commercial Assistant
Who will provide administrative and commercial support to the Commercial Team, ensuring the timely preparation of quotations, tender submissions, supplier agreements, and customer documentation. The role requires an understanding of quality standards and compliance requirements within the nuclear sector, as well as an appreciation of manufacturing processes and cost structures to support accurate commercial decision-making.

Responsibilities:
Commercial Support
- Prepare, issue, and track customer quotations and commercial proposals.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders and bid documentation.
Nuclear Industry Compliance
- Complete and maintain nuclear supplier questionnaires and pre-qualification documents.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the nuclear industry, customer requirements, and sector-specific standards.
Manufacturing and Cost Awareness
- Develop a good understanding of the company's manufacturing processes and capabilities.
- Liaise with production, engineering, and purchasing teams to obtain information required for quotations and tenders.
Supplier and Contract Management
- Prepare, review, and maintain supplier agreements and related documentation.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding contractual and commercial matters.
- Monitor agreement renewals and ensure documentation remains current.

- Prepare and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
Administrative Duties
- Generate reports and provide administrative support to the Commercial Team.
- Assist with customer enquiries and commercial correspondence.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a commercial, sales support, contracts, estimating, or administrative role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to understand cost structures and commercial pricing principles.
- Experience working within the nuclear, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of quality management systems - ISO 9001.
Desirable
- Familiarity with tendering processes, quotations, and contract administration.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and cost estimation.
- Knowledge of nuclear sector standards and compliance requirements.
