Commercial Assistant
Location: Hinkley Point C
Main Duties
Supporting the Deputy Commercial Manager in:
- Assembling and submitting monthly payment applications
- Data entry and management across the commercial team
- Managing data reporting and tracking performance against agreed KPIs
- Compiling and analysing project and cost data
- Preparing quotations for additional and out-of-scope works
- Conducting cost/value analysis exercises
- Forecasting labour and material requirements
- Assessing project costs and contracts
- Providing cost advice to clients and project teams
- Supporting the commercial awareness of operational teams, including guiding them through annual budgets
- Creating and maintaining visual data presentations, including graphs and charts
Requirements
- Experience working with large datasets or data reporting tools
- Experience in data entry and data management
- Familiarity with financial or commercial reporting processes
- A working knowledge of SAP or similar procurement software
- Experience working on large-scale projects within nuclear or similarly regulated sectors

Essential
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to manage large datasets, identify inconsistencies, and correct errors accurately
- Excellent numerical skills, with the ability to perform quick and accurate calculations
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise reports and presentations using data from multiple sources
- Analytically and mathematically minded individual, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and anomalies in data
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with others to solve problems
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret and present data clearly in various formats
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure
