Commercial Assistant
📍 Bristol (Hybrid Working) 💼 Permanent 💰 £35,000 + 5% Bonus + Excellent Benefits
We're supporting a major UK infrastructure programme in the recruitment of a Commercial Assistant to join their growing Commercial Team in Bristol.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with experience in commercial administration, contract support, procurement, or project administration who is looking to develop their career within a highly regulated and fast-paced environment.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the commercial management of contracts, ensuring accurate administration, reporting, and compliance with contractual and governance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the assessment and valuation of contractor applications.
- Process payment certificates in line with contractual requirements.
- Administer Task Orders, Compensation Events, and Early Warnings.
- Monitor commercial performance and escalate risks or issues as required.
- Assist with contract administration and goods receipting activities.
- Maintain commercial management systems, including SAP and CEMAR.
- Produce and maintain commercial reports and records.
- Ensure activities are delivered in accordance with internal procedures, governance, and delegated authority requirements.
- Work collaboratively with project, procurement, finance, and commercial stakeholders.

About You
- Experience within a commercial, procurement, contracts, or project support environment.
- Previous contract administration and/or goods receipting experience.
- Strong organizational and prioritisation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High attention to detail with a proactive approach to work.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Knowledge of contracts, valuations, cost reporting, or financial processes would be advantageous.
