Commercial Assistant Accountant – Pathway to Management Accountant

Old Trafford

£35,000 – £40,000 + Full Study Package + Hybrid Working + Genuine Career Progression

If you're an ambitious Assistant Accountant who wants to move beyond traditional month-end accounting and develop into a commercially focused Management Accountant, this opportunity offers exactly that pathway.

From day one, you'll be given genuine ownership, exposure, and development, working directly with an outstanding senior finance team and gaining experience that will accelerate your career.

You'll take responsibility for key areas of management accounting and month-end, but that's only part of the role.

You'll also gain exposure to:

  • Business partnering across operational teams
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Commercial and financial analysis
  • Understanding the key drivers behind business performance
  • Supporting commercial decision-making
  • Working with and developing junior members of the finance team
  • Improving processes and reporting as the business continues to grow

You'll report into senior finance leadership, including exposure to both the Finance Director and CFO, giving you the opportunity to learn from some of the highest-calibre finance professionals in the North West.

You'll ideally be:

  • An ambitious Assistant Accountant ready for the next stage of your career
  • AAT Qualified or currently studying CIMA / ACCA
  • Experienced in management accounts and month-end processes
  • Commercially curious and interested in understanding why the numbers move, not simply producing them
  • Confident, driven, and keen to take on increasing responsibility
  • Looking for a business where you can build a long-term finance career
