Commercial Assistant
Are you an organised and proactive administrator looking for an opportunity to play a key role in supporting a busy port operation? Are you motivated by providing excellent support to colleagues, ensuring day-to-day activities run smoothly and efficiently? We are seeking an Office Administrator to join our team at King George V Dock, where you will support our Operations, Engineering and Management teams while gaining valuable experience across a wide range of port activities.
Your Role
As part of the team at King George V Dock, you will provide administrative support across Port Operations, Engineering, and Management. The role involves coordinating office activities, supporting procurement and payroll processes, managing supplies and records, organising meetings, assisting with customer billing and travel arrangements, and maintaining site access administration. You will work closely with colleagues across the business to help ensure the smooth and efficient running of daily operations. There may also be occasional opportunities to support weighbridge activities where required, contributing to the wider success of the port operation.

What you'll bring
You will have previous experience in an office support or administrative role, with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, you will be comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience with SAP systems is desirable, along with strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. A flexible and collaborative approach, willingness to learn new systems, and experience within a logistics or operational environment would be advantageous.
