Advanced Academy Practitioner | Sequoia Academy
Hybrid working, Plymouth
£35,000–£45,000 per year

Are you ready to use your commercial experience in a role where you can deliver meaningful work, develop your own capability and help another practitioner succeed?
Join Sequoia as an Advanced Academy Practitioner, working in a two-person commercial capability pod supporting Capita’s Public Sector Commercial Deals Team.
You will be employed, line-managed and supported by Sequoia, with live commercial and bid delivery at Capita.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Take ownership of defined commercial work packages within an agreed remit.
- Review commercial and contract documents, identify obligations and highlight risks.
- Support bid preparation, governance approvals and stakeholder coordination.
- Guide a Core Academy Practitioner, reviewing their work and providing practical support and constructive feedback.
- Continue your own development through the Sequoia Academy’s two-year pathway.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Relevant experience could come from commercial management, procurement, contracts, bids, supplier management, finance, legal operations, project delivery or public sector work.
We are looking for sound judgement, clear communication, dependable follow-through and a genuine interest in developing others. You may already mentor colleagues, or you may be ready to take that next step.
Curiosity, integrity, willingness to learn and the ability to work thoughtfully with others matter to us.
