Commercial Insurance Account Handler

Stockport | Up to £40,000 | Hybrid working

Develop your commercial insurance career with a growing independent brokerage, working closely with an Account Executive to support a varied client portfolio.

We're working with an independent brokerage looking for an experienced Commercial Account Handler to join its team.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys understanding clients' businesses, working through their insurance requirements and building relationships with clients and insurers. Experience handling mid-market commercial clients would be particularly valuable.

  • Work closely with an Account Executive to manage and service a portfolio of commercial clients.
  • Handle renewals, policy adjustments and day-to-day client enquiries.
  • Liaise with insurers to obtain quotations, negotiate terms and arrange appropriate cover.
  • Prepare insurance documentation and maintain accurate client records.
  • Develop strong working relationships with clients, insurers and colleagues.
  • Help ensure clients receive a responsive, reliable service throughout the policy year.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
