Commercial / Business Development Manager (Ireland)

A leading international MEP and Engineering Consultancy is hiring a Commercial / Business Development Manager to drive growth across the Irish market. The role is highly client-facing and focuses on developing strategic relationships, winning new business, and increasing the company's presence across sectors such as Commercial, Residential, Healthcare, Education, Data Centres, and Life Sciences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to support long-term growth.
  • Build relationships with developers, architects, contractors, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Identify and secure new project opportunities within the Irish construction and property sectors.
  • Lead bids, tenders, presentations, and other work-winning activities.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Work with technical and marketing teams to strengthen market positioning and brand awareness.
  • Manage sales pipelines, CRM activity, and client relationship programmes.

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years' experience in the built environment sector.
  • Strong track record in business development, client management, or winning work within a consultancy, contractor, or supplier organisation.
  • Deep understanding of the Irish engineering, construction, and property markets.
  • Well-established network of developers, architects, contractors, and industry contacts in Ireland.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience within MEP, engineering consultancy, sustainability, or technical consultancy environments is highly desirable.

Ideal Candidate

An experienced business development professional with strong industry connections and a proven ability to generate opportunities, win projects, and build strategic partnerships within Ireland's built environment sector.

This role supports the Irish Market and may therefore be based in any of our Irish Locations: Dublin, Athlone or Belfast.
