Commercial Catering Engineer (Permanent)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance support, including installation, planned preventive, and reactive maintenance for commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Install, maintain, and repair various types of ranges, ovens, stock pots, fryers, hot cupboards, hot plates, Chinese woks, and experience with rational ovens if possible.
  • Diagnose and repair faults.
  • Source and order necessary materials and parts.
  • Complete and issue certification as required either manually or electronically.
  • Participate in shift patterns within the Maintenance Team during client occupations.
  • Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring tasks are performed correctly.
  • Deliver technical support and services related to the equipment.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, particularly in health and safety.
  • Any tasks or responsibilities as requested by management within the scope of the position.
  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence.

  • Gas Safe certified (CCCN1 Core Commercial Catering Gas Safety).
  • Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in a relevant discipline such as Gas).
  • Relevant qualifications such as CCCN1 or CODC1. COMCAT modules 1-5.
  • Knowledge of Natural Gas & LPG appliances.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations, COSHH, and building regulations.
  • Ability to write reports & job sheets either manually or electronically.
  • Significant proven experience in a similar role.
  • JIB-PMES CSCS gas operative blue card (not essential).
  • Hold a full clean UK driving license.
