A platform to build your own book, not just service someone else's.

Let's be honest: in most York-based brokerage roles, you spend 80% of your time defending renewals and 20% fighting for time to actually grow. You're capped, you're constrained, and you're waiting for permission to do what you already know how to do.

A well-established independent brokerage with a dominant presence across Yorkshire is looking for an Account Executive who wants to change that dynamic. They aren't looking for a 'processor.' They are looking for an owner.

The Opportunity:

You are joining a team that has the market presence to open any door in the rural or mid-market commercial space. They have a substantial pipeline of lapsed and old clients that are sitting ready to be reactivated, but they want someone with the initiative to treat these leads as a launchpad, not a crutch.

What you'll be doing:

  • Driving New Business: You'll be networking, reactivating high-value legacy data, and identifying new opportunities in the rural and mid-market commercial sectors.
  • Shaping Your Niche: They have the insurer panels and the heritage to support you. If you have a specific niche or specialism you've been wanting to lean into, they have the backing to make it work.
  • Consulting, not just selling: You'll be meeting clients, understanding their risk, and delivering solutions. This is a face-to-face role for a professional who knows how to hold a room.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
