The Opportunity
I’m Mike, CyberHire’s founder. I bring 15+ years of cybersecurity experience, including leading security teams and building a 24/7 SOC. I built CyberHire to address a problem I experienced firsthand: understanding which applicants can actually do the job.
I’m looking for a partner with strong sales experience in cyber security recruitment who wants to take ownership of the commercial side.
What You’ll Own
- Identifying and approaching employers with relevant cyber security hiring needs.
- Running the sales process, from prospecting and discovery through demonstrations, proposals and closing.
- Developing customer relationships and growing repeat business.
- Building a repeatable sales process, including CRM discipline, forecasting and a practical sales playbook.
- Testing customer segments, messaging, pricing and commercial partnerships.
- Bringing buyer feedback into product decisions.
- Recruiting, onboarding and coaching future sales hires as the business can support them.
Who I’m Looking For
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You have a background in agency recruitment, ideally within cyber security or closely related technology markets. You can demonstrate that you’ve personally won new employer accounts and developed those relationships.
You might be a principal consultant, billing manager or practice lead who has considered starting a business of your own.
You’ll need:
- A proven record of generating and closing new business.
- An understanding of how security hiring managers and internal recruitment teams buy and work.
- Strong discovery, communication and negotiation skills.
- The willingness to prospect and sell personally while building the foundations for a team.
- Sound judgement, follow-through and the ability to work through uncertainty.
- An interest in building a software business and learning how selling assessments differs from selling recruitment services.
Experience building a recruitment desk or developing other salespeople would be particularly valuable.
You don’t need to be a cyber security practitioner.

Ownership and Compensation
There is no salary available initially.
You would need sufficient personal financial runway to support yourself during the early stage. The opportunity is an equity partnership. The allocation, vesting schedule, responsibilities and any performance milestones will be agreed together and formally documented before we begin working together.
The intention is to introduce salary once the business can sustainably support it; there is no guaranteed start date.
This involves genuine startup risk, alongside the opportunity to help shape the business and share in the value we build.
Interested?
Send me a private message with a brief outline of:
- Your cybersecurity or technology recruitment experience.
- The new business you’ve personally won or a desk you’ve built.
- Why you want to become a co-founder.
- Your availability and whether an initial period without salary is feasible.
We’ll start with a confidential conversation to explore the fit on both sides.
