Sigilbase Role
Sigilbase keeps other companies' audit records in a ledger that neither they nor their counterparty can quietly change. Every export ships with an open-source verifier, so an auditor can check the evidence without trusting us.
The product is finished and live. Billing, anchoring, support, a published SDK, 900 automated tests. I built it on evenings and weekends while working full-time owning PCI DSS SAQ-D evidence at a UK lender.
It has no customers. Nobody has been asked to pay. Two pre-seed funds passed in August, neither on the technology, both wanting evidence that someone will buy. That is why this role exists.
The Job
Everything between a cold list and a paid invoice. There are two audiences and I do not yet know which one converts.
- Assessors: QSAs, ISO 27001 auditors, SOC 2 practitioners. They recommend rather than buy, and one of them advises dozens of companies.
- Buyers: CTOs and heads of engineering at UK B2B software firms meeting audit-log questions on procurement forms.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Work out which is real, drop the other, get the first pilots paid. Pricing is yours as well, since no buyer has ever seen it.
You
- Have closed software into UK compliance, security or audit buyers, personally, not through a team.
- Already hold the names you would call in week one.
- Are at home with security reviews and sixty to ninety day cycles.
- Will send the emails yourself, because there is nobody else to send them.
- Can learn the product in a fortnight and explain it with me not in the room.
- Will take equity as the pay until the raise lands.

Not this role: fundraising, which is mine, advisory or board work, managing an agency, or anything that needs a marketing budget before it produces a conversation.
Terms
- 15 per cent to start, rising five points at £1,000 monthly recurring revenue and five more at £7,500, capped at 25.
- Four-year vest, twelve-month cliff, running from the first day of the trial.
Trial first: six to eight weeks, part-time, an agreed list of first conversations and a commission arrangement. We both decide at the end of it.
Salary comes from the raise, which is £250,000 under SEIS. Today the company is pre-revenue and funded out of my own pocket.
Flat. You would not report to me, and there is no team to build for a while yet.
