Curi*

Curi* is a connected professional utility designed to make real capability visible.

Professional platforms make professional life easy to scan but difficult to understand. They tend to reward presentation over capability, visibility over relevance and reaction over serious thought.

Curi* starts from a different premise: people should be understood through evidence of what they know, contribute, learn, lead and achieve—not simply through how well they present themselves.

At the centre of Curi* is an evolving, multidimensional Profile. Around it, distinct Spaces help people:

  • Stay informed through curated insight and serious writing
  • Develop and demonstrate their thinking
  • Explore complex questions through meaningful conversation
  • Build relevant professional relationships
  • Discover where their capability could contribute
  • Be considered for important roles through better evidence and greater context

These activities remain distinct, rather than being collapsed into a single feed. Curation connects the system by bringing forward the people, knowledge, conversations and opportunities that are genuinely relevant to each member.

A working product foundation already exists. The next stage is to prove member adoption and repeat use, validate the strongest commercial propositions and build the evidence required to raise capital and scale.

The opportunity

Curi* is looking for a Commercial Co-Founder to work alongside the founder and turn an ambitious product vision into a validated, investable and commercially sustainable company.

This is not a conventional sales or business-development position. The Commercial Co-Founder will help determine how Curi* enters the market, which audiences it serves first, why professionals join and continue using it, and where sustainable revenue can be created without compromising the member proposition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The successful person will take meaningful ownership of the commercial direction of the company and contribute to its overall strategy, development and future culture.

What you will lead

  • Define and test Curi*’s initial go-to-market strategy
  • Identify the strongest founding member cohort and build early adoption
  • Conduct structured member, customer and partner discovery
  • Test why professionals join, return, contribute and ultimately pay
  • Validate organisational propositions, including partnerships, professional opportunities and capability-led appointments
  • Develop pricing, packaging and the wider commercial model
  • Build relationships with early partners, customers and aligned organisations
  • Establish meaningful measures of adoption, engagement, retention and commercial value
  • Refine the company’s positioning and explain a complex proposition clearly
  • Contribute directly to fundraising strategy, investor conversations and the investment case
  • Help build the commercial, partnership and growth capabilities required as the company develops

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a commercial builder with the judgement and resilience to help create something before all the answers are known.

You are likely to bring:

  • Experience building an early-stage business, launching a new proposition or creating a market for something genuinely different
  • Strong commercial judgement across product, market, pricing, partnerships and revenue—not simply sales execution
  • The ability to turn customer and member insight into clear strategic choices
  • Experience conducting discovery, testing assumptions and establishing evidence of product–market fit
  • The credibility to engage senior partners, prospective customers and investors
  • The ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and conviction
  • Comfort working through ambiguity, challenging assumptions and changing direction when the evidence requires it
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to disagree constructively with the founder
  • Genuine interest in professional capability, learning, relationships, talent and how people are understood at work

Experience in professional platforms, talent, recruitment, SaaS, subscriptions, media, learning, communities or marketplaces would be valuable, but none is an absolute requirement.

What matters most is the combination of commercial judgement, founder-level commitment and belief that professional life can be organised around something more meaningful than presentation, reach and reaction.

Working arrangement and equity

This is an early-stage, pre-funding co-founder opportunity.

The role will initially be part-time and flexible, with regular in-person working sessions in London. It is intended to become a full-time leadership role once the company has raised funding and reached agreed milestones.

There is no salary available before funding. The role offers meaningful founder equity of up to 10%, subject to agreed commitment, responsibilities, milestones and a formal vesting arrangement.

The final structure will reflect the person’s experience, contribution and transition to full-time involvement.

How to express interest

Please apply with your LinkedIn profile or CV and a short note covering:

  • Why the problem Curi* is addressing matters to you
  • Something you have helped build or commercialise from an early stage
  • What you would want to test during your first 90 days

We are not looking for someone who simply wants to join a promising startup. We are looking for someone who wants to help shape what Curi* becomes.
