We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Contract Specialist to join an established, innovative engineering business based in Severn Beach on a contract basis.
This is a key commercial role supporting the Sales function with contract reviews, negotiations, risk management and ongoing contract administration. You will work closely with Legal, Finance, Sales, Operations and senior stakeholders, ensuring commercial agreements are appropriately structured, risks are identified and internal governance requirements are followed.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess customer sales contracts in line with approved templates and internal processes.
- Draft, review and negotiate NDAs, including third-party agreements.
- Manage NDA renewals, expiry dates and associated documentation.
- Prepare and agree contract amendments, extensions, variations and customer correspondence.
- Support Sales during commercial and contractual negotiations.
- Attend customer meetings where contractual input is required.
- Identify and escalate contractual, financial and commercial risks.
- Advise internal stakeholders on contract structure, terms and obligations.
- Ensure compliance with internal governance and Delegation of Authority processes.
- Prepare Contract Risk Assessments for approval alongside Sales and Legal teams.
- Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle, including execution, amendments, renewals and record keeping.
- Support Channel Partner due diligence, approvals, agreements and renewals.
- Assist with commercial reviews during tender processes.
- Support completion of vendor forms, ESPDs and other tender documentation.
- Coordinate new customer onboarding, working with Finance on credit and background checks.
- Work closely with regional Legal teams regarding jurisdiction-specific agreements.
- Support continuous improvement of contract templates and commercial processes.
- Provide guidance on contractual risk and negotiation principles.
- Support and mentor junior members of the team where required.

Skills & Experience
- HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous experience reviewing, drafting and evaluating commercial contracts.
- Experience working alongside an in-house Legal function.
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contractual risk.
- Comfortable working within governance and approval frameworks.
- Able to manage a high volume of contract activity independently.
- Confident dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
- Experience within an international, regulated, engineering or technology-led environment would be advantageous.
