Commercial Contracts Manager

Build Preservica's First Contracts Function

Can you identify a good contract from a bad one? Can you negotiate the latter into the former? Are you organised and logical with a healthy dose of common sense? Are you ready to take the helm on your own SaaS sector contracts function?

We are Preservica, a global leader in Active Digital Preservation, trusted by organisations to preserve their most important digital records for decades to come. From national archives and government agencies to universities and global enterprises, our customers rely on us to ensure critical information remains accessible, compliant, and defensible.

Right now we're looking for a hands-on Commercial Contracts Manager to take ownership of contract review, negotiation, administration, and legal operations across our growing global SaaS business. Reporting to the CFO, you'll be the first dedicated hire in this area, helping build the processes, tooling, templates, and governance that support our future growth.

This isn't about inheriting a mature legal function........It's about creating one

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
