Tasks
Accountabilities
- Project Financial Forecasting In-charge of the compilation of various internal project forecast reports, done on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis, using a combination of bespoke reports and an ERP system.
- Short & Medium-Term Planning In-charge of preparing the short- & medium-term planning for the management business unit, as part of internal reporting requirements. Responsible for compiling the short- & medium-term plans across the Subdivision and clarifying and understanding variances to report to Senior Management.
- Cost Tracking Performance Analysis Tracking of planned vs. actual management costs, performance and results tracking in collaboration with Project Accounts, and Commercial Management teams.
- Internal Commercial Controls & Compliance Checking implement and maintain robust internal controls and compliance checking to company standards in line with procedures, and guidelines.
- Provide support and guidance to non-financial stakeholders in relation to over-all performance and results.
- Assist in educating non-financial staff on financial processes and policies that needs to be followed as part of the group's internal compliance requirements.
- Participate in asset management as a key stakeholder like tracking of stocks/inventory & surplus materials.
- Monitoring of Subdivisional overhead performance.
- Supportive collaboration in invoicing processes, as required.
- Checks the monthly Accruals are done accurately and recorded on time.

Reporting
- Preparation of standard internal commercial controlling reports, planned vs. actual cost reports, asset and inventory reports, or any ad-hoc reporting requirements.
- Preparation of staff charge rates for proper cost allocation between cost centers, inter-project collaboration and external charge purposes.
- Work with Project Business Unit / Subdivision Commercial Controllers to ensure robust site reporting and integrated reporting.
- Preparation of bespoke financial and/or commercial controlling reports as requested by the Mgt. Team.
Other
- Provide back-up support to project accounting and other commercial teams as required for functional redundancy in support of the overall commercial success of the project.
- Participate in internal and external financial audits and ensure proper close-out of observations, noncompliance, etc.
- Liaise and closely coordinate with the corporate (BRVZ) External Finance and Internal Accounting Teams.
- Closely coordinate with other commercial project teams like project accounts, procurement, commercial, IT, office administration, etc. and ensure that internal controls, policies, and guidelines are followed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or a similar field / or equivalent of 5 years relevant finance or accounting experience in a construction-related industry.
- 3 years team leader experience in a project-based finance / accounting team within the construction, infrastructure, or similar industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Group's commercial applications (including AS4U, Qlikview).
- Software proficiency in Microsoft Office (intermediate), Microsoft Excel (advanced), financial / accounting software (intermediate).
- Strong IT, communication and presentation skills.
- Team-player and able to manage a team if required.
- Working knowledge of iTwo (desired, not required).
