Commercial Property Solicitor – 5+ PQE

Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are working with an established and well-regarded law firm who are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor with ideally 5+ years’ PQE who is looking for a role where they can take ownership of their own caseload, work closely with clients and develop their career within an established legal practice.

The Role

You will manage your own varied caseload of commercial property matters, acting for a range of clients and dealing with transactions from initial instruction through to completion.

The role is likely to include:

  • Commercial property sales and purchases
  • Commercial leases and lease renewals
  • Landlord and tenant matters
  • Property development and investment work
  • Agricultural and rural property matters
  • Property finance and associated transactions
  • General commercial property advice

Experience within Agricultural Property would be particularly advantageous, although this is not essential for the right candidate. You will be expected to manage your own files and client relationships, with the autonomy to progress matters efficiently while working as part of an established team.

The Candidate

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor ideally with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE and a solid background in commercial conveyancing/property work. The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • At least 5 years’ PQE in Commercial Property
  • Strong experience managing their own caseload
  • Good technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial property matters
  • Experience acting for individuals, businesses and/or landowners
  • Agricultural property experience would be advantageous
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of matters
  • A commercial and practical approach to providing legal advice

The Opportunity

This is a role for someone who wants to be trusted with their own caseload and have genuine responsibility for their clients and matters. You will join an established team and have the opportunity to build on your existing commercial property experience, while working within a firm that places importance on professional standards and quality of service. The successful candidate will be expected to work in accordance with the firm's Lexcel and CQS quality standards.
