What You Will Do
- Daily position monitoring, analysis and balancing within a given market
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal customers
- Lead resolutions with supporting back office functions
- Identify commercial opportunities across the value chain including storage, gathering and long haul transportation agreements
- Developing complex global and regional balances to enhance opportunity identification across all markets, to inform trading opportunities
- Developing and maintaining live dashboards, to provide technical and fundamental analysis, in order to identify market opportunities
- Evaluating routine trading economics
- Preparing economics and relevant documentation for term contracts and complex tenders; including acting as the primary interface with our risk control, operations, optimization, schedulers and other supporting teams
- Assisting with special projects, testing and roll-outs (as required)
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our trade execution process
- Monitor quality across various parts of the gathering, storage and transportation assets
- Provide support / coverage, as required, to supply chain schedulers
- Providing coverage for the desk trader, subject to experience, demonstrated capability and ongoing professional development
About You
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in any numerate subject including Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics or Finance based qualification
- Prior experience within in physical or financial commodity trading or associated support functions including risk management, market analytics or supply chain scheduling
- Be able to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, an entrepreneurial mind-set and analytical/IT skills
- Possess a broad range of personal effectiveness and leadership skills, with the ability to facilitate and influence business decisions in a multi-cultural team environment
- Have fluent English language skills (written and spoken), with additional language skills being an advantage
