Overview
We’re hiring a Commercial Credit Analyst II to join a team where your analysis directly shapes smart growth. You’ll partner with Relationship Managers, Portfolio Managers, and Credit Officers to underwrite $1MM–$4MM commercial exposures and turn financials, cash flow, and collateral into clear, confident credit decisions.
Please note this is a hybrid position and could work out of one of our regional offices in Souderton, Doylestown, King of Prussia or Lancaster PA.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with Underwriting Team Leader, Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Credit Officers during all phases of the commercial underwriting process, which includes new requests, modifications, renewals, and annual reviews of existing relationships.
- Primary Responsibilities:
- Independently underwrite commercial credit exposures ($1MM - $4MM).
- Organize relevant financial data. Spread and evaluate all levels of financial information in addition to corporate and personal tax returns and personal financial statements.
- Prepare cash flow charts, confirm covenant tests, and assess collateral position.
- Prepare written credit risk assessments for lending teams, and credit officers, to include details of risks and mitigating factors.
- Complete various compliance and underwriting training courses as assigned.
- Possess strong knowledge of industry policies.
- Accountable for compliance with laws and regulations that apply to this position including the Univest Code of Conduct.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s of Science in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics. Other Bachelor’s degrees considered with commercial lending experience.
- Minimum 3 years’ commercial banking underwriting experience required. Skills required include credit risk evaluation, financial statement evaluation, and succinct business writing. Knowledge of traditional Commercial & Industrial, Commercial Real Estate, and Small Business Lending.
- Strong organizational, and communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to work within compressed deadlines. Comfortable interacting with lending teams.
- Formal commercial credit training preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and financial spreading tools.
- nCino / Salesforce experience is preferred.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with other analysts and underwriters.

Wage Range:
The salary for this position ranges from $60,000 - $70,000.
