Location: WISE Campus
FTE Salary: Up to £34,044 per annum (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: Up to £13,617.60
Contract Type: Part Time, Fixed Term until 31st July 2027
Working Hours: 14.8 hours per week

We have an exciting role of a Lecturer in Commercial Dance within our BIPA department at our WISE Campus!
Key Tasks And Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality practical and academic teaching across the Higher Education Commercial Dance programme.
- Support students to develop their technical, creative, performance and professional skills.
- Assess student work and provide timely, constructive and developmental feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, development and quality assurance within the Commercial Dance provision.
- Use current industry practice and professional experience to ensure teaching remains relevant to the contemporary dance and performance industries.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment that promotes student achievement, progression and employability.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant degree or professional qualification/experience in Dance, Performing Arts or a related discipline.
- Significant professional experience within commercial dance and/or the wider performance industry.
- Experience of teaching, training or mentoring dancers and performers, ideally within a Higher Education or professional training environment.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary commercial dance practice and current industry expectations.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive and appropriately challenging practical dance sessions.
- Strong assessment, communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to supporting students to achieve their potential.
