About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Asset Commercial team as a Commercial Data Specialist, capturing and reporting on NWG contractor performance, identifying performance trends and issues, and conducting market research on the broader industry supply chain to identify market issues, opportunities & constraints.
Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager (Performance), you will manage performance metrics database (KPI’s) and report on suppliers performance metrics to support decision-making processes.
You will collaborate with the commercial team to develop insights and recommendations for improving supply chain performance and provide data-backed recommendations aligned with NWG’s Asset strategy to improve commercial decision-making.

About you
If you have experience in Commercial Analysis or similar, we want to hear from you. You will be able to manage and report on performance metrics and KPIs.
- You will have experience conducting research and analysis to identify supply chain issues and market constraints
- You will be familiar with contractor management and performance evaluation processes
- You will be able to write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions
- You will be proficient with data visualisation tools like Tableau and Power BI
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and pivot tables
- You will understand designing, implementing, and maintaining data warehouses
- You will have experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools
