Role Overview:
We are looking for a Commercial Development Executive to join our Race Promotion team. Reporting into our Senior Commercial Development Manager, this role will support evaluation, development and execution of race opportunities across Formula 1.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
New Races
- Perform strategic analysis of potential new markets (commercial viability, political landscape, etc).
- Monitor current affairs and relevant news in key markets to guide engagement with local contacts.
- Draft briefing packs to inform senior leadership ahead of meetings with prospective race hosts.
- Track the pipeline of prospective race opportunities, ensuring visibility of status, next steps etc.
- Develop opportunity assessment processes (evaluation frameworks, selection criteria, etc).

- Inform renewal strategy and deal priorities by analysing commercial metrics and event feedback.
- Support preparation of materials, including financial modelling, for negotiations with promoters.
Strategy and Projects
- Develop materials for senior leadership forums focused on long-term strategy and calendar evolution.
- Contribute to the delivery of high-priority projects across the wider Race Promotion team.
What Are We Looking For?
Personal Qualities
In this role it is essential that you are:
- An international outlook including a strong grasp of geopolitics and preferably an ability to speak languages relevant to key F1 markets.
- An appetite to learn and a commitment to personal development opportunities.
Qualifications
A strong academic record including a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a top university.
Experience
Prior to the role it would be essential that you:
- 2-4 years’ experience in high-performance cross-functional roles (sports, strategy, consulting etc.).
Some desirable experience that you may bring to the role:
- An understanding of the commercial sports landscape (Formula 1 and other major properties).
- A basic knowledge of RFP and/or contracting processes.
Knowledge & Skills
Prior to the role it is essential that you demonstrate the ability to:
- Deliver clear and succinct written materials with consistent attention to detail.
- Manage relationships with colleagues across F1 in both commercial and operational roles.
- Prioritise effectively when working simultaneously on multiple workstreams.
- Identify opportunities to optimise processes and commercial outcomes via proactive problem solving.
