Commercial Development Manager
Leeds City Centre | £35,000–£38,000 + uncapped commission | OTE £50,000+
We’re working with a growing flexible workspace business that is looking for a Commercial Development Manager to join its Leeds team.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys the commercial side of sales, building relationships and, importantly, winning new business. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue across a portfolio of workspaces, working with both new and existing clients and looking for opportunities to grow the business.
The role
You’ll take ownership of the sales process, from generating and following up leads through to negotiating and closing deals. You’ll build relationships with prospective clients, brokers and internal teams, while keeping a close eye on the pipeline and making sure revenue targets are being met.
There’s a good mix of finding new opportunities, converting existing leads and looking for ways to grow existing client relationships. You’ll also have responsibility for pricing, forecasting and keeping on top of what’s happening in the local market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
