Role Overview

We're searching for a Commercial Director to join us to oversee three Heads of Category within the Lightside division of our business. You will ideally have a strong merchanting or retail background with a strong understanding of category management. You will be responsible for defining and leading the commercial and category strategy for Lightside Building Materials across Jewson, driving sustainable growth, margin expansion, and market leadership. Accountable for end-to-end commercial performance including pricing, range, supplier strategy, and go-to-market execution.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Senior commercial leadership experience within building materials or related sector
  • Proven delivery of growth and margin improvement in complex businesses
  • Strong leadership and team development capability
  • Advanced negotiation and supplier management skills
  • Highly analytical and commercially driven
  • Executive-level stakeholder management
