💼🌍 Commercial / Sales Director Role – Exhibitions 🌍💼

Calling all experienced Commercial / Sales Directors within the Exhibition industry! New Opportunity!

If you are a senior commercial leader with a strong background in exhibition sales and business development, and you're looking for an opportunity to take real ownership of commercial growth, this could be the role for you.

We’re working with a well-established and growing exhibition design and build business looking for a Commercial / Sales Director to lead from the front and help shape the next stage of its growth. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of commercial strategy, new business development, key account growth and the continued development of the commercial function.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can balance strategic thinking with day-to-day commercial activity, from identifying new opportunities and leading high-value pitches through to developing long-term client relationships and driving revenue growth across UK and international markets.

You will:

  • Lead and shape the overall commercial and sales strategy
  • Drive new business development and oversee a strong, high-quality pipeline
  • Identify and target new sectors, markets and international opportunities
  • Lead major pitches and presentations with senior client stakeholders
  • Develop and grow key existing client accounts
  • Lead, mentor and develop the wider commercial team
  • Oversee commercial budgets, financial reporting and departmental performance
  • Work closely with Operations and the wider leadership team to maximise project margins and commercial performance
  • Represent the business at key industry events and support the development of new commercial opportunities
  • Identify opportunities for geographical and sector expansion
  • Provide strategic oversight of complex, high-value projects

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
