📣 Commercial Director
£80,000–£85,000 + 50% OTE | London
We're partnering with an established international B2B media and events business to find an experienced Commercial Director.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role with responsibility for driving sales and profit growth across a diverse portfolio of events, digital products, content, print, awards, memberships, and business intelligence.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you’ll lead the commercial strategy, oversee a £10m+ sales target, and develop new revenue opportunities, while managing and developing a team spanning multiple levels of commercial experience.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve ambitious revenue and profit targets
- Lead, coach, and develop the sales team, from SDRs through to Account Directors
- Manage sales performance, targets, forecasting, budgets, costs, and margins
- Make a sizeable personal contribution through strategic accounts, partnerships, and direct sales
- Drive revenue across events, digital, print, content, awards, memberships, and data products
- Identify and launch new commercial products, channels, and income streams
- Oversee new business, client retention, rebooking, and strategic account development
- Take ownership of CRM usage, pipeline management, and commercial reporting
- Work collaboratively with marketing, editorial, data, design, operations, and finance
- Build strong industry relationships and represent the business at relevant events and awards

We’re looking for someone with:
- Significant commercial leadership experience within B2B media, publishing, or events
- Experience managing a sales target of £10m+
- A proven track record of growing multiple revenue streams
- Experience leading teams across varied levels of seniority
- Strong commercial, analytical, and financial acumen
- Confidence interpreting management accounts and making decisions around cost and margin
- A successful background in strategic partnerships, negotiation, and complex commercial sales
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to combine strategic thinking with hands-on delivery
