Confidential Senior Commercial Leadership Opportunity

Wilson Brook Consulting has been retained to identify an experienced senior commercial, category or procurement leader for a newly created appointment within a substantial organisation operating across the construction and built environment sector.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will lead an established team and take responsibility for strengthening the organisation’s approach to category management, supplier strategy and commercial negotiation.

Key priorities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a clear category and supplier strategy.
  • Leading major commercial negotiations.
  • Improving terms, value, service and supplier performance.
  • Developing the capability of the existing team.
  • Introducing greater structure, insight and commercial discipline.
  • Contributing to the organisation’s wider strategic direction.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a strategically important function and become a highly influential member of the organisation’s leadership team, with scope for the role to broaden over time.

This is a hybrid role with regular travel to suppliers, industry events, conferences and occasional presence in a central office. We’re open to where potential candidates live within the UK.
