Commercial Director

Salary: Competitive + Executive Benefits Package
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid Working)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Director to join a growing and ambitious organisation. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of the commercial strategy, driving revenue growth, profitability and overall business performance across multiple channels.

This is a strategic leadership role where you will oversee Sales, Marketing, Ecommerce and Digital functions, ensuring they work collaboratively to deliver exceptional customer experiences and sustainable commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the overall commercial strategy in line with business objectives.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth while maximising profitability.
  • Lead commercial performance across retail, ecommerce and partnership channels.
  • Optimise pricing, promotions, product mix and conversion rates.
  • Monitor market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activity to identify new opportunities.
  • Oversee customer acquisition, retention and lifetime value strategies.
  • Use data and commercial insight to inform decision-making and improve business performance.
  • Own commercial budgets, forecasting and P&L performance.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships to support business growth.
  • Lead, coach and develop high-performing commercial teams.
  • Drive collaboration across Sales, Marketing and Digital functions to deliver consistent commercial outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement and innovation across the business.

Skills & Experience Required

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience operating at Commercial Director or Senior Commercial Leadership level.
  • A strong track record of delivering revenue growth and commercial success.
  • Experience developing and implementing commercial strategies across multiple sales channels.
  • Excellent commercial acumen with strong P&L management experience.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to use data to influence business decisions.
  • Experience leading Sales, Marketing and Digital functions.
  • Strong understanding of customer acquisition, retention and commercial performance metrics.
  • Outstanding leadership skills with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver long-term growth.
