Commercial Director
London | Hybrid | circa £100,000 base + uncapped bonus + equity, but open for discussion for the right candidate
Build the commercial engine for a new generation of healthcare technology
This is an opportunity to join an ambitious health technology business at an important inflection point.
The company has developed a clinically credible technology platform designed to improve how healthcare professionals identify, understand, and manage chronic conditions. Following a period of significant scientific and product development, the business is now moving firmly into commercialisation.
We are looking for a Commercial Director who can turn that technology into genuine market adoption.
This is not a role where you inherit an established sales machine. You will help build it. You will work closely with the founders and leadership team to establish the route to market, develop relationships with clinical decision makers, convert early adopters into lighthouse customers, and create the foundations for a scalable commercial function.
There is also an established wellness proposition generating commercial activity today, giving you an opportunity to influence both immediate revenue generation and longer-term clinical adoption.
What you will do
- Own and execute the commercial strategy for the company’s clinical proposition, with private healthcare as the immediate priority
- Build relationships with clinicians, practitioners, private healthcare providers, and strategic partners
- Identify and prioritise the most attractive customer segments and routes to market
- Convert early interest into pilots, lighthouse accounts, and paying customers
- Develop compelling commercial propositions for clinical and non-clinical audiences
- Build a robust pipeline, CRM discipline, forecasting process, and repeatable sales methodology
- Provide commercial leadership to the existing wellness proposition and support the development of larger enterprise opportunities
- Work closely with scientific, clinical, product, and operational teams to translate technical capability into compelling commercial propositions
- Initially operate as a player coach, taking personal ownership of important opportunities while building the commercial infrastructure around you
- Recruit and develop a high-performing commercial team as the business scales

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
