Commercial Director
Salary: £150k

Our client is a leading civil engineering contractor with an established reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects across the UK.
Due to strategic expansion and a strong pipeline of upcoming awards, they are seeking to appoint a Commercial Director to lead their commercial function based in London.
The Role
- Will take full commercial responsibility for the business unit across London and the South East, managing senior commercial staff and reporting directly to the Board.
- Will oversee financial performance, governance, risk management, and commercial strategy across a major portfolio of civil engineering schemes.
- Will build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, joint venture partners, and supply chain stakeholders.
- Will drive robust procurement practices, change management processes, and dispute resolution strategies to ensure margin protection on all contracts.

The Person
- Will be degree-educated (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management, ideally holding MRICS or CICES status.
- Will possess a proven track record of commercial leadership within a main civil engineering contracting environment.
- Must have extensive, demonstrable experience working with NEC3 and NEC4 forms of contract, including Options A, B, C, and D.
- Will demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities, commercial acumen, and strong negotiation skills.
