Project Commercial Director
North West
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Commercial Director to join our Nuclear business and play a key leadership role in driving commercial excellence across major infrastructure and design & build projects.
This is a senior leadership position requiring a highly accomplished commercial professional with extensive experience managing complex contracting environments, supply chain strategies and large-scale project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the commercial function across a portfolio of major projects and programmes.
- Provide strategic commercial leadership to support business growth and project delivery objectives.
- Manage and oversee complex contractual arrangements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Drive commercial performance, risk management and governance across projects.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, partners and key stakeholders.
- Lead supply chain procurement strategies and commercial negotiations.
- Support bid development, contract execution and dispute avoidance/resolution activities.

Essential Requirements
- Significant experience in a Commercial Director, Commercial Lead or equivalent senior commercial leadership role.
- Strong contracting background with proven experience across:
- Major infrastructure projects.
- Design and build projects.
- Supply chain procurement and management.
- Demonstrable expertise in commercial risk management and contract administration.
- Degree qualified.
- Professional qualification such as MCIPS or MRICS/RICS.
- Must be a sole UK national and able to satisfy relevant security requirements.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working within Joint Ventures (JVs).
- Strong knowledge and practical application of NEC contracts.
- Construction sector background.
- Experience delivering projects within regulated or major infrastructure environments.
- Previous experience within the nuclear sector would be advantageous.
