Location: London

An exciting new hospitality business is looking for an experienced, commercially driven Director of Business Development / Commercial Director. You'll lead its F&B commercial strategy, win new contracts and partnerships, and build the revenue platform for its next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver the F&B commercial strategy, aligned with the company's wider objectives and growth plans.
  • Find and pursue new business across the hospitality sector, including new sectors, emerging markets and new revenue streams.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of clients, contracts and partnerships, with accurate forecasting and reporting to the executive leadership team.
  • Lead the full process of winning new F&B contracts, from first conversation and proposal through to pitch, negotiation and close.
  • Build and maintain senior relationships with hospitality clients, operators, owners, developers and strategic partners.
  • Lead contract negotiations, commercial agreements and pricing, making sure every opportunity delivers sustainable revenue and margin.
  • Work closely with operations, procurement and delivery teams so that every commitment can be delivered to a high standard.
  • Lead and develop the sales and commercial team to hit revenue and margin targets.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity and the wider supplier landscape to spot opportunities and risks early.
  • Support the leadership team with strategic planning and wider growth initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
