Commercial Director, UK & Ireland | Renault Trucks (based in Warwick)
Lead the commercial future of Renault Trucks UK & Ireland.
Renault Trucks UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Director to join the Executive Team and lead the next phase of growth, transformation and customer-focused performance across the business.
Following five consecutive years of recognition as Renault Trucks Market of the Year, the UK & Ireland business has established a strong platform for success. This role will play a critical part in building on that performance while navigating a rapidly changing transport industry — from electrification and new technologies to evolving customer needs and regulatory requirements.
The Opportunity
As Commercial Director, you will translate the Renault Trucks 2030 strategy into clear commercial priorities and disciplined execution, with responsibility across the full portfolio including:
- Medium & Heavy Duty Vehicles (MHDV) and Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV)
- Electromobility and energy-transition solutions
- Used trucks and remarketing
- Services, maintenance and connectivity
- Finance and integrated transport solutions
You will lead the commercial strategy for the UK & Ireland market, balancing volume, revenue, market share, margin, customer value and sustainability.
A key part of the role will be developing the proposition beyond the vehicle itself — bringing together vehicles, charging, finance, maintenance, connectivity, services, used trucks and uptime solutions to create compelling, differentiated customer propositions.
Your Responsibilities
You will have accountability for:
- Commercial strategy & performance: Develop and execute integrated business plans, drive profitable growth and maintain strong governance across forecasting, pipeline, pricing, market share and commercial performance.
- Customer & market leadership: Strengthen Renault Trucks’ position as a trusted partner to customers, improving satisfaction, retention, loyalty and lifetime value.
- Dealer partnerships: Build strong, performance-led relationships across the dealer network, aligning strategy, investment, capability, standards and commercial performance.
- Commercial excellence: Continue to develop pricing discipline, CRM adoption, pipeline management, market intelligence, forecasting accuracy and the effective use of digital tools.
- Transformation & future mobility: Lead the commercial response to electrification, energy transition and changing customer requirements, ensuring Renault Trucks remains positioned for the future of transport.
- Leadership & capability: Lead, engage and develop a high-performing commercial organisation, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, constructive challenge and psychological safety. You will also play a key role in developing future leadership capability and succession.
- Executive & international collaboration: Work closely with Product, Services, Used Trucks, Retail Development, Brand & Communications, Finance, Business Control, Renault Trucks Financial Services and international headquarters functions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
