Commercial Disputes Solicitor – Mid-Level Associate

London | £100,000–£120,000

About the Opportunity

We are pleased to present an exciting opportunity for a Mid-level Disputes Lawyer to join a growing London litigation practice.

The team is expanding its commercial disputes capability and is looking for a lawyer with experience of complex, high-value and cross-border disputes, including group litigation and significant multi-party proceedings. This is an opportunity to join a practice at an exciting stage of development, working alongside experienced commercial litigators on sophisticated disputes while taking genuine responsibility for substantial aspects of litigation.

The Role

The successful candidate will work on a range of complex commercial and group litigation matters, including significant High Court and Commercial Court proceedings. The work is likely to include:

  • Complex, high-value and cross-border disputes
  • Large-scale group claims and multi-party litigation
  • High Court, Commercial Court and Business Court proceedings
  • Corporate accountability and commercial disputes
  • Competition-related litigation and damages claims
  • Injunctions, contractual disputes and other complex commercial matters
  • Strategically significant litigation involving multiple parties and jurisdictions

You will be expected to take meaningful ownership of workstreams and aspects of cases, with exposure to case strategy, client management and the conduct of litigation. The role will involve working closely with senior lawyers while also operating with a high degree of autonomy, including responsibility for progressing matters, managing deadlines and contributing to litigation strategy.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Strong attention to detail

Experience of high-value, cross-border, group or multi-party litigation would be particularly advantageous. We are particularly interested in lawyers who are confident taking ownership of their work and who are looking to develop further as independent litigators.

Why Consider the Opportunity?

You will work alongside experienced litigators with substantial experience of running complex disputes, including major group claims and landmark proceedings, while taking genuine responsibility for significant aspects of those matters.
