Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Commercial Electrician role based in Liversedge. The Commercial Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments, including distribution boards, lighting, power circuits, and control systems. Daily tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, carrying out first and second fix installations, performing scheduled maintenance, and diagnosing and rectifying electrical faults. The role will support EV charging infrastructure installations, fire alarm and emergency lighting systems, solar PV, and security solutions, ensuring all work meets current electrical regulations and company standards. The Commercial Electrician will collaborate with project managers and site teams, complete testing and inspection documentation, and maintain a safe working environment on all sites.

- Strong foundation in electricity principles and electrical engineering concepts relevant to commercial installations.
- Proven experience in electrical work, including installation, wiring, and commissioning of commercial and industrial systems.
- Skills in maintenance & repair of electrical equipment, fixtures, and infrastructure in commercial settings.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently and safely, using appropriate testing tools and methods.
- Recognised electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and fully qualified electrician status.
- Current BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) knowledge; 18th Edition qualification strongly preferred.
- Experience with EV charging infrastructure, fire alarms, emergency lighting, solar PV, and security systems is beneficial.
- Valid ECS/CSCS card and full UK driving licence, with willingness to travel to client sites as required.
- Ability to work safely, follow method statements and risk assessments, and comply with all health and safety regulations.
- Good communication skills, reliability, and ability to work both independently and as part of a project team.
