Exciting Opportunity for a Commercial Electrician in Renewable Energy
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Commercial Electrician to join a well-established and growing organisation within the renewable energy sector. This role offers the chance to work on a range of commercial renewable energy projects, including the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Previous experience within the renewable energy industry is not essential. We welcome applications from electricians with a strong background in commercial electrical installations who are looking to develop their skills and build a career in the renewable energy sector. Full support and training will be provided to help you transition into this specialist field.

Responsibilities
- Install solar PV systems, including panels, inverters and battery storage units in line with technical design specifications and according to industry standards and regulations.
- Ensure all installations comply with UK electrical standards (IET Wiring Regulations) and health and safety standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry technologies and legislation.
- Continuously monitor and maintain excellent levels of Health & Safety on site.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines, system performance, and maintenance needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients, ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reports and documentation for installations, maintenance, and repairs including compliance checks.
- Assist with the completion of necessary paperwork for permits and grid connection applications.

About You
- 3+ years of experience as a Commercial Electrician
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 17th/18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations Certificate
- 2391 Test & Inspection
- Experience in Solar PV installation desirable
- Strong understanding of commercial and utilities electrical systems and safety protocols
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights
- Must have a UK Driver's License
- Must have an ECS Gold Card
