We deliver complete electrical solutions for new-build and refurbishment projects, from design and installation through to project management and ongoing maintenance. Our services include commercial electrical installations, planned and reactive maintenance, solar energy systems, EV charging, access control and CCTV.
About The Role
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will undertake electrical installation, inspection, testing, maintenance and fault-finding across a variety of commercial and industrial sites. You will represent Pearce Electrical on client premises and will be expected to complete every project safely, professionally and to a high standard. The role is field-based and will involve travel throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays and out-of-hours work where projects require it.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete commercial and industrial electrical installations.
- Install containment, cabling, distribution equipment, lighting, power and control systems.
- Undertake refurbishment and upgrade works within occupied and operational premises.
- Carry out planned, reactive and emergency electrical maintenance.
- Diagnose faults and complete effective repairs.
- Inspect, test and certify electrical installations.
- Install and maintain solar energy and EV charging systems where suitably qualified.
- Support the installation of access-control and CCTV systems.
- Read and work from electrical drawings, specifications and site instructions.
- Complete testing records, certification, photographs and other project documentation accurately and promptly.
- Work closely with project managers, site managers, clients and other contractors.
- Ensure tools, equipment, materials and company vehicles are properly maintained.
- Comply with current electrical regulations, company procedures and all health and safety requirements.
- Maintain a professional and helpful approach when working on client sites.

Essential Qualifications and Experience
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or an equivalent recognised qualification.
- Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
- AM2 qualification or recognised equivalent.
- Valid ECS Gold Card.
- Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical installation and maintenance.
- Competence in electrical testing, fault-finding and repairs.
- Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and technical information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider project team.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Willingness to travel, stay away from home occasionally and work flexible hours when required.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Level 3 Inspection and Testing qualification, such as City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent.
- Experience with solar photovoltaic systems.
- EV charging installation qualification or relevant experience.
- Experience installing access-control or CCTV systems.
- IPAF and PASMA certification.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience working in retail, commercial, industrial or occupied customer environments.
