We're supporting an established civil engineering business with over 25 years' experience delivering nature-based projects, from river restoration and wetland creation to flood resilience and habitat creation. They're growing the Bids and Business Development team and are looking for a motivated, detail-driven Estimator to join them.
The role
You'll work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, and Technical Leads to cost and shape tenders across the full project lifecycle, helping them win the work that lets them do more good for habitats and wildlife.

What you'll do
- Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and environmental projects
- Review drawings, specifications, and site requirements to build robust tenders
- Draft and compile bid documents and written proposals
- Source and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Join site visits with engineers and specialists
- Support bid administration and help the team meet tender deadlines
What they're looking for

- A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines
- Confident communication and interpersonal skills
- A full UK driving licence
- Bonus: experience in civil engineering or construction, and familiarity with estimating or project management tools such as Bidwork or Microsoft Project
